Covid-19 Update

Hi Guys,

We wanted to touch base regarding COVID-19. Firstly Cormac and I want to thank you for your support so far, this is a particularly uncertain time for all small businesses throughout NZ. Without the ongoing support of our members we would not have been able to support our staff with such positivity during a stressful time for everyone. So thank you.

Our Action Plan

We understand this is an uncertain period which is concerning many. We have sought advice so that we can make informed decisions, however these decisions may change as the situation develops. Be assured we will return to a normal full service once we get through this pandemic.

While our clinic and gym currently remain open, we ask clients to please pre-arrange appointments before coming in.

So here’s the plan of attack for how Beyond Physio and Fitness is going to ensure our clients can continue to access our services whilst remaining safe.

Physiotherapy and Personal Training – As this is a one-on-one environment it is currently deemed low risk so will carry on with sessions as normal, we have increased our cleaning routine to ensure we do everything possible to minimise spreading infection until instructed otherwise by the ministry of health.

Group classes – To ensure that we are supporting and encouraging social distancing we will be moving our classes outside as of Monday 23rd March. We’ll meet at the studio at the normal time, we will then take a short jog to our workout location. This location may change. (If you have an injury which means you can’t jog, we will tell you where to go so you can drive there).

  • Strength, Functional and Lunch Express classes – These will become bodyweight classes, we would like everyone to bring their own towel, we will create a workout which enables you to work from one station, your station can be as far away from others as you wish. We will not be using equipment.
  • Pilates – These will remain inside but into the main room of the studio, please bring a towel to go over your mat, or bring a mat of your own (Kmart have them for $8). We will create a pilates workout which will enable you to work from one station, your station can be as far away from others as you wish.

We request anyone who has returned from overseas travel in the past 2 weeks, or are showing flu-like symptoms or feel unwell, to refrain from coming in. If you have any questions regarding this please feel free to contact us.

Take care of yourselves and your families through this unsettled time. Remember that exercise is not only good for your physical health but also your mental health.

Cheers

Dave
